It's the 1971 Bulletin 101 26-page Philips/Norelco 35mm/70mm Film Projector User Manual,
for Operating and Servicing a Philips/Norelco 35mm/70mm Film Projector.
A Philips DP70 or Norelco AA2 is a mechanical film projector and viewing screen,
for screening 35mm or 70mm movies, and listening to Optical or Mag sound film
It has a built-in amplifier, and volume controls for each track.
It has a foot pedal, hand controls, and take-up arms and reels.
The Moviola was invented in 1924 by Ivan Serrurier, to edit
movie film. (Before the Moviola, editors cut film "by the foot" with a razor blade, over a light table.) The name "Moviola" comes
from "movie" and "Victrola," the popular Victor Company
gramophone player. In 1979, the Motion Picture Academy Award
of Merit was awarded to Mark Serrurier for his father's invention.
At this point in movie history, you still need a film machine to
assemble film for projection, so most production companies still
have a Moviola stashed around somewhere. A smart tech will have
an Operation and Service Manual in his file cabinet.
Here's the official Moviola "Bible," with cool illustrations!
